| USCoast.Net, has over the years,
pulled their site down in order to assist those in need, from Hurricane
Mitch in October 1998 to Hurricane Isabel in September 2003; and we've
participated in local fundraisers from the Chesapeake Bay to Coastal South
Carolina. If we all would "Pay It Forward" more often, we could do
more to help others less fortunate than ourselves.
We ask that everyone "Beware of Scams". Only contact organizations that are well know. As to telemarketers, say, "Thank you but no thank you." Do not hesitate to contact your local law enforcement when you think there may be a scam... Below is a list of Organizations that you may want to contact in regards to the Haiti Relief Effort, search for relatives, visit the State Department Website, obtain updated, news from various locations and more.... |

Beware
of scams:
Stick with Charities you know and trust. Say to the charity that you want these monies to go the Haiti Relief Effort. Ask how these monies will be used. Is there presence of your organization in Haiti at this time? Donate to organizations that are well known. Beware of telemarketers at this time asking for Relief Monies. Web Domains are popping up with the words: Haiti and Haiti Relief, beware, again donate to organizations that you know. Only open attachments of know senders.
